Together with VIERNULVIER we organized the closing party for 50 years Film Fest Gent.
No party without a theme. Thirty years after the release of Fire Walk With Me and a year after the deaths of Angelo Badalamenti and Julee Cruise, we felt it was more than time for a Twin Peaks revival.
Jazz band “The Bang Bang Quartet”, brought together exclusively for the evening, opened the party in our own roadhouse. We built a replica of the Double R diner on the stage of the concert hall of Vooruit where we served some “damn fine coffee” (actually it was espresso Martini). Our nightingale Hannah Vandenbusshe performed three covers of Julee Cruise as a tribute to te recently deceased singer. In between the DJ’s, at 2 A.M. our very own Mathijs Steels played the theme song and gave the entire crowd goosebumps.
